The Starkville High School Band, directed by Shawn Sullivan and Trenton Brown, will perform the world premiere of Be That of the Wind for woodwind quintet and percussion octet at the 2024 Mississippi Band Masters Clinic in Natchez, MS. The piece was commissioned by Starkville HS.

The Old Dominion University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Tyler Austin, will perform BLACK RAINBOW for 6 solo percussion & wind ensemble at the Virginia MEA Professional Development Conference in Richmond. Soloists include Professor David Walker & his ODU percussion students.
Performance of RHYME OR REASON (PASIC)

Nathan was commissioned to write a large percussion ensemble work for the Aledo High School Percussion Ensemble, directed by Scott Stephens, for premiere at the 2024 Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis, IN. The result was LUNA, LUNA.

World Premiere of MULTIPLE MUSINGS (Flint, MI)
Nathan’s new collection of five graduated solos for multiple percussion, Multiple Musings, will be premiered at the Delaina Oberman Legacy Celebration, featuring Flint School of the Performing Arts students, faculty, and alumni. The collection was commissioned by the Flint Institute of Music to honor Delaina after she recently passed.

The Sugar Land Winds, conducted by Larry Matysiak and Rick Yancey, will perform Twitch for solo clarinet & symphonic band at the 2024 Texas Bandmasters Association Conference in San Antonio, featuring soloist Michael Isadore.

Truman State University grad student Autumn Heath will perform TWITCH as clarinet soloist with the Truman State University Wind Symphony on the concerto competition winners concert.

Performance of CONCERTO FOR VIBRAPHONE at KMEA
The Fort Hays State University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Peter Lillpopp, will perform the second movement from “Concerto for Vibraphone & Wind Ensemble” (“Enchanted Light”_ at the KMEA In-Service Workshop in Wichita, KS. Ryan Pearson, Assistant Director of Bands & Director of Percussion at FHSU, will be the featured vibraphone soloist.
